As part of our May Editor Obsessions, I wrote about a hand soap that has “reached cult status in my household,” my household consisting of me. But it sparked the idea to share products that our editors consider to be cult status, even if it’s just among ourselves. These are items that we’ve been using for years and will continue to use forever. And we’re sharing them with you. Join our cult.

Our new everyday earrings…
“I’ve been a fan of Jenny Bird’s cult-favorite Florence Earrings from afar, but I always thought the jumbo size made me look like a little kid playing dress-up. When they rolled out this mini style, I jumped on them immediately. The size is perfect, just enough to make a statement, and the bright, shiny silver makes my features look a little more radiant — the jewelry version of blush. I get compliments on these every single time I wear them, and people are shocked by the reasonable price point.” —Caroline Goldstein ($110, Jenny Bird)

An athleisure set that always makes me feel put together…
The TikTok girls might be onto something. I’ve always been more of a T-shirt and leggings person, but the feeling I get when I’m wearing a matching set is supreme. This one is my ideal combo: a cropped baby tee and loose joggers. It’s perfect for running errands, grabbing a coffee, or even taking a Pilates class. I’m obsessed with the pistachio color for spring. ($98, FP Movement)

The cashmere sweater we wear year round…
“I have J.Crew’s cashmere shrunken crewneck in three colors and it’s easily my most reached-for sweater. It’s made of a thin cashmere so it provides ample warmth without making me feel overheated. What makes it cult status for me is the fit. Because it’s shrunken, it sits right at my waist with no need for me to tuck it in.” —Margo Ghertner ($118, J.Crew)

The cleansing shampoo I use every week…
When I moved from New York to North Carolina, the change in water left my hair with a sticky, greasy build-up. As I was frantically trying to find something to solve my problem, I came across this shampoo, and now I’m on my third bottle. It strips my hair of any residual product without making it feel like straw, like other cleansing shampoos do. It also smells so delightful you’d never know it has apple cider vinegar as the hero ingredient. Thank you, Jen Atkin. ($32, Revolve)

A moisturizer that’s worth the splurge…
“Since I haven’t been going out much (it’s currently 35 degrees in NYC) I haven’t been wearing much makeup, which means I’ve been taking a closer look at my skin and what I’m putting on it. Specifically, Delavie Science’s new Aeonia sculpting cream. It’s like a one-and-done formula for boosting your skin’s moisture and elasticity. I love the little scooper tool it comes with – it makes me feel like I’m at a spa while alleviating some of the mess that comes with application. After a week of continued use day and night, my skin feels softer, tighter, more supple, and brighter overall. This is officially my new winter must-have.” —Alessandra Rey ($100, Delavie Sciences)

The comfy underwear you’ll want to stock up on…
One day I woke up and couldn’t ignore the fact that some of the cotton underwear I’ve been wearing since high school (slightly embarrassing) were worn out. I’m incredibly particular about my underwear; I like a hiphugger, not a boyshort, and I don’t want the waistband to be too tight or too thick. After much research, I should have known that Skims would be the solution. These are perfect; the fit is just right, the cotton is so soft with absolutely zero digging in, and they’re cute. The five-pack was much needed. ($32+, Skims)

The best barely-there perfume…
“I’m a strong believer in the power of perfume as an accessory: I’m always switching them up to match my mood or outfit. This is the one I put on when I’m embodying a ‘clean girl aesthetic’ (is that a thing we’re still saying?). It’s powdery but not sickly, sweet but not overwhelming, and vanilla-y but not overtly feminine, which is everything I love in a fragrance. I think this actually smells a lot like Burberry Brit, my perfume of choice in my indie sleaze era, but more appropriate for daytime and a little cleaner-smelling. It’s the kind of thing that would smell good on everyone.” —Caroline Goldstein ($29+, Sephora)

The low-rise jeans I can’t stop talking about…
If you’ve seen us mention an editor who wears these jeans even when they travel…Hi, that’s me, I can’t stop wearing them. I was immune to the low-rise trend for so long, until I slipped into these for the first time and realized how comfortable they are. They feel like baggy sweatpants but have a cool girl vibe, especially when paired with your favorite tee or a hoodie. I would size down, since they run big. ($90, Abercrombie & Fitch)

Blue light glasses I actually wear…
My problem with blue light glasses is that I always forget to wear them. But I decided to try the viral Miu Miu glasses in hopes that their cuteness would motivate me to put them on my face. I was not disappointed. These feel fashion-y and fun, and they’ve definitely been reducing my eye strain. The gold logo on the side is just flashy enough, and they also come in a square frame if round is not your thing. Plus, I love wearing them out to dinner with a no-makeup look. ($320, SmartBuyGlasses)

Grippers for those pesky rug edges…
“This is a nonsexy product, but my life for the last two months has been consumed with moving. One of the things I bought were these rug grips because my apartment door was hitting my runner, causing it to fold and move in the most annoying way possible. I was skeptical to see if these would be sticky enough, but damn, I am so pleasantly surprised with how well these work. The runner stays perfectly in place no matter how many times I open the door. If you have rug corners that curl up or a rug that slides easily, buy these asap.” —Alexandra Napoli ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

A zinc lozenge to boost your immune system…
I’ve been hearing of a lot of people getting the flu, and I would prefer to make it through this winter without getting sick, so I’ve been ramping up my preventative efforts. These zinc lozenges are definitely a staple in my household. I use these for a few days in a row before a big trip or when my allergies are bad, and when I am sick, I swear they make it shorter. Is it a placebo? Maybe. But it gives me peace of mind knowing I’m doing everything I can to stay healthy. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

A neutral nail polish not everyone is wearing…
“OPI’s Movie Buff is my perfect shade of pink, so much so that I tracked down my own gel bottle from a beauty supply store. It isn’t too pink, but it isn’t too white or sheer either. It’s the only nail color I’ve consistently worn that people have actively asked about. For that and its endless versatility, it’s reached cult status for me. Sometimes, I’ll even add a pearl chrome finish on top.” —Margo Ghertner ($11.99, OPI)

A noise machine that helps us focus…
“Another moving-related product I’ve recently become obsessed with is the ‘LectroFan EVO. I moved closer to the elevator shaft and when the apartment is quiet, I can hear the gentle swoosh of wind that gets created when the elevators are moving. It can drive me up a wall, so I did a lot of research into white noise machines and this little one was one of the highest rated. I decided to give it a shot and…I’m deeply reliant on this machine now. The volume is adjustable and you can browse white noise options to find one that feels the most comfortable to you. It’s tiny but powerful, and neatly tucks away so I never have to look at it. I just turn it on when I need some background noise and my mind is at total ease.” —Alexandra Napoli ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

A dozen designer cookies that taste as good as they look…
“This winter, I’ve been focusing on romanticizing, well, everything. I take longer showers, I take my time while making my morning coffee, and dessert has become a non-negotiable. Last Crumb is my current go-to sweet treat. They take everything you love about home-delivered freshly baked cookies to the next level. I tried their Core Collection and still dream of their red velvet, Oreo milkshake, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch-inspired flavors. Just microwave for 10 seconds and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The packaging is giving haute couture — that’s how much thought goes into every detail — which in turn makes this a great gift for someone who has everything.” —Alessandra Rey ($120+/dozen, Last Crumb)
