Products you buy through our links may earn us a commission. Oh, and if something's out of stock, oops, it was there (and all prices were accurate) at time of publication.

We’ll admit it: One major perk of our job as editors is that we get to try out tons of products to let you know if they’re truly worth your hard-earned money. We’re also just avid shoppers, so in the spirit of tossing gatekeeping to the curb, we’re sharing a few standout favorites from the past month that we usually reserve for the group chat. Welcome to the inside scoop.

nasal-spray
Amazon

An essential that gets us through allergy season...

This is the least sexy product ever, but my summer allergies have been having an absolute party at my expense this year. And because of that, I've been existing off saline spray. This one is gentle yet effective, keeps my nose moisturized all day long, and helps minimize that itchy, sneezy feeling that comes with allergies. I keep the bottle in my medicine cabinet and use it whenever I have to go to the bathroom. It's been a lifesaver, so if you or someone you know also has summer allergies, just get it. –Alexandra Napoli ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

serum
Prequel

A new release from one of our favorite skincare brands...

Prequel sent me this new hydrating serum, and I was intrigued to try it for its lack of hyaluronic acid. HA is in everything these days, and while I also want dewy, bouncy skin, it actually breaks me out. This one uses polyglutamic acid instead, a peptide that supports the skin barrier and (according to the brand) is actually a more effective moisturizer than HA. So for those of us who've had to look elsewhere for ways to keep our skin moisturized, this is an affordable dream. It feels really light and soothing, and my skin quite literally drinks it up. I have my eye on their mineral sunscreen next. –Martha Upton ($28, Prequel)

wipes
Kinfield

Bug repellent wipes that actually smell good...

I’m majorly prone to bug bites, but I don’t want to carry around an entire bottle of spray with me. I recently discovered that Kinfield’s Golden Hour bug spray comes in wipe form and my life is forever changed. It has notes of vanilla and citrus, provides a subtle glow, and packs easily. I love that I can add enough of them for my trip without taking up room or weighing my suitcase down. If you are typically covered in welts like me, you need these. I tested them out on a recent trip to Utah and can attest that I have zero bites. –Margo Ghertner ($20/12-pack, Kinfield)

retinol
Muri Lelu

A retinol serum that's worth the investment...

I’ve been using drugstore retinoids for almost a decade to perfectly fine results, but when I tried the Muri Lelu Grass Nuit Rebirth Retinol, I finally understood the hype around this “miracle” ingredient. My skin was visibly clearer and brighter immediately upon application (thanks to calming full flower hemp). And after two weeks of consistent use, I think the fine lines around my eyes are shallower and my complexion overall is clear and plump — real glass-skin vibes. I feel so much more confident in my bare skin. I also love the hydrating feel (I don’t need to use a separate hydrating serum with it) and earthy, high-end spa scent. –Caroline Goldstein ($135, Muri Lelu)

lip-balm
Eadem

Our new lip balm obsession...

Eadem cracked the code on lip balms. Over the past few weeks, their Lip Softening Balm has been my summer companion. It makes your lips feel so soft and cloud-like. The applicator has a metal tip that has a cooling effect on the lips, and the finish is gorgeous. My lips are left with a glossy look and brown tint that looks amazing alone or paired with a lip liner for going-out nights. I love a lip combo, I paired this product with my NYX Ultra Suede lip liner in the color Girl, Bye. –Sarai Thompson ($24, Eadem)

protein-powder
Bloom

Protein powder we look forward to drinking...

This is hands down the best protein powder on the market. It's so tasty and actually pushes me to work out so I have even more of a reason to drink it afterwards. I'm obsessed with the iced coffee flavor — and even more with the fact that it doesn't have that chalky taste. It blends well with any milk of your choice. I also love to add a banana for a thicker texture. –Alessandra Rey ($49.99, Bloom)

sunscreen
Daybird

A tinted sunscreen that feels good on our skin...

The warmer it gets, the less I want to layer products onto my face. Daybird is a sunscreen, serum, and skin tint all in one, which allows me to lightly filter my face without ever feeling cakey no matter how much I sweat. They also just updated the bottle so you can squeeze every last bit out of it. Trust me, even though it’s sheer, a little goes a long way. –Abby Drozd ($39.50, Daybird)

candle
Otherland

A candle that brings the beach to you...

I am a beach girl to my core, but until I win the lottery and can finally live out my Nancy-Meyers-coastal-home dreams, I have to make do with adding small touches to my apartment each summer. The second you light the Coco Blossom candle from Otherland, you can't help but feel instantly transported to the beach. For the ultimate vibe curation, I recommend tossing on some wave sounds and wearing your linen set. –Abby Drozd ($40, Otherland)
