As a shopping editor, I get infinite emails touting all of the latest and greatest product launches about to hit the market. And sometimes, products are so unique and niche that I don’t have the perfect place to include them. One of my favorite parts of writing and producing our Skimm Shopping newsletter is that I can create fun “grab bag” sections with a mix of everything. Think of this roundup as the long-form version of that. Note: Some of these products have been around, but are new to me.
A handheld steam cleaner that’s satisfying to use…
Bissell Little Green fans, you need to try their Steam Shot OmniReach. It’s a portable hand steamer you can use to clean your shower, stove, or anywhere else that gets grimy. It comes with different attachments depending on the surface you’re working on and it’ll powerfully clean without the use of chemicals. If you’ve ever struggled to get the inside of your fridge clean, it can do that too. ($49.99, Bissell)
A pasta that’s protein-packed…
Anytime I eat pasta for dinner that isn’t Banza, I walk away feeling like I need a second dinner. This gluten-free pasta is packed with fiber and 20 grams of protein derived from chickpeas. I love to add it to pasta salads since it doesn’t taste any different from other traditional pastas on the market. It’s a nutrient-dense swap for the win. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)
A new candle to promote relaxation…
Coming back to real life after a two-week holiday break is rough. This new launch from Literie is on my radar to help me get through that adjustment period. Aptly called Sleeping in Yoga Class, it has notes solely of lavender. Add this to your cart if you’re looking for a candle to help you wind down. ($45, Literie)
This styling cream from Roz Hair…
I’ve gone through countless bottles of Roz’s Milk Hair Serum, to the point where this brand is an auto-buy for me. Their newest product is their Evergreen Style Cream (which made its debut on Emma Stone’s new pixie cut at the Golden Globes). It’s meant to be a more nourishing alternative to harsher hair gels. Use it to add texture, smooth flyaways, or for any slick-back styles. ($32, Roz Hair)
A new LipSoftie from Tower 28 in honor of the Lunar New Year…
Our editors have been longtime fans of this product from Tower 28. Its newest color, Red Bean Mochi, provides a sheer, rosy-nude finish. It’s equal parts glossy and hydrating, so it makes for a dependable “keep in my bag at all times” product. ($16, Tower 28)
The duvet-blanket hybrid we didn’t know we needed…
Ever have those movie days where you want to move your duvet to your couch (👋)? If this is you too, check out Brooklinen’s most recent release, The Featherweight Bed Blanket. It feels like a quilt, but has the warmth and softness of a comforter. It comes in two colorways, has a 300-thread count, and you can pick from down or down-alternative. ($299+, Brooklinen)
One of our go-to skincare brands is now at Sephora…
When I lived in New York, I used to go to aesthetician Sofie Pavitt’s Chinatown studio so I could snag her Clean Clean Cleanser, and our team’s beloved Mandelic Clearing Serum. Now, the brand is being sold at Sephora, so I can order my beloved essentials online and in-store without having to make the trek.
Lab-grown studs from the brand popping up all over Instagram…
Dorsey has been around for a bit, but the lab-grown jewelry brand is very new to me. I recently tested out their Hendry Bar Studs, which are made of lab-grown white sapphires and 18 karat gold-plated silver. Regardless of what stone size you pick, the price remains the same. I’ve found that their sparkle is pretty incredible and you can wear them on their own or alongside an ear-stack. ($400, Dorsey)
A brand known as “the wrinkle cream of haircare”...
I get pitched countless beauty products, but I’ve never seen a brand dedicated to greying hair. Arey makes haircare that contains vitamins, peptides, and antioxidants that can help to slow and repigment grey hair. It’s physician-formulated, tricologist-approved, and dermatologist-recommended. We’d suggest taking their product recommendation quiz to start. (Price varies by bundle, Arey)
Billie’s body lotion line-up…
Billie is another tried-and-true brand with incredible quality for the pricing. Their quick-absorbing body lotions come in four scents and their pump packaging means it’s easy to apply. Depending on the version you pick, you’ll get a corresponding scent and ingredients based on your skin’s needs. I’m currently eyeing Soothe, which smells like lavender and contains oat milk and ceramides for a healthy skin barrier. ($10, Billie)
Sleepy Tie’s new Sporty Set…
If you’ve ever dealt with trying to maintain your blowout pre- and post-workout, this set from Sleepy Tie is a must. It comes with a sweat-resistant Sleepy Tie, a sweat-wicking headband, a carrying case for your gym bag, and a water bottle. To use the Sleepy Tie, we suggest following the steps from this video (because being a visual learner in this case majorly helps). ($39.99, Sleepy Tie)
Seamless thongs from Huha…
This breathable thong has a seamless gusset for garments that require undetectable underwear. We love how comfortable this brand is and the fact that their sizing goes up to 3XL. Plus, it’s made with soothing, antimicrobial zinc oxide to keep you feeling fresh. This is a preorder that will ship in mid to late January. ($28, Huha)
An unexpected new ice cream flavor from Jeni’s…
In honor of the new year, Jeni’s has launched Green Smoothie, an ice cream flavor inspired by the drink everyone can’t stop sipping this time of year. It’s both fruity and creamy, and has spinach, pineapple, banana, mango, and a coconut cream swirl. Sounds weird, but trust us when we say that Jeni has never led us in the wrong direction. ($12, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams)
An award-winning travel backpack…
This one goes out to all the carry-on loyalists. This sleek backpack from Bagsmart carries up to 38 liters of items. It has countless inner pockets and compartments, strong zippers, and a laptop sleeve with a separate slot for a Kindle. It even has a luggage trolley slot and two anti-theft pockets. Not to mention, it’s under $100. ($69.99+, Bagsmart)
Athleta’s cropped puffer…
Finally, a puffer jacket that’s warm and stylish. It comes in four colors, but we’re obsessed with this butter yellow version. It has a high-neck for extra warmth and a hidden chest pocket to hold any small essentials. ($129.97, Athleta)
Some cozy slippers with arch support…
Vionic came onto my radar thanks to two family members who have plantar fasciitis. This brand has been recommended by both family members’ podiatrists for their arch support. They have countless styles (many of which feel very on-trend), but these sherpa slippers are sitting in my Amazon cart. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)
A mini set from Brightland…
Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean you can’t buy yourself a value set. This mini set from Brightland contains two deluxe trial-size vinegars and two olive oils. If you’ve never tried the brand and want to test them out before you fully commit, this set is a great way to do so. ($70, Brightland)
My current packing cube obsession…
I don’t know how anyone packs without packing cubes. Cram Travel launched at the end of 2024, and I’ve been testing their colorful packing cubes over the last few months. You get a set of three for $55 and they’re made from a recycled plastic fabric with a nylon-like feel. I love the thick handles for moving the cubes around, and the mesh-vented fronts means I can tell what’s inside without having to open them up. Plus, the colorways make them feel satisfying to use. ($55, Cram Travel)
A makeup brush set that’s under $10…
EcoTools has grown up, so it’s not just for middle schoolers experimenting with makeup anymore. This complexion set is incredible for the price. The sleek metallic green finish looks expensive and the brushes are soft. This set comes with brushes for bronzer, blush, and highlighter, along with a puff for liquid products. ($8.49, Ulta)
The high-tech water bottle I’m deeply intrigued by…
I’ve never personally tested out Larq bottles, but they constantly come up in our Skimm Shopping group chat for how problem-solving they seem. This PureVis 2 filters water, is self-cleaning, and helps to track water intake. Plus, it’s double-wall insulated. Just recharge it via USB-C every two to three weeks. ($109+, Larq)
A softcover photo book at a solid pricepoint…
Junk journaling is all the rage right now on TikTok. If you don’t have it in you to be crafty, but want to consolidate your photos and memories into one book, check out these softcover photo books from Artifact Uprising. They start at $19 and have a textured matte cover with gold foiling. You can customize the layouts and add however many photos you want. ($19+, Artifact Uprising)
Velvet storage ottoman cubes…
Use these as compact entryway seats for putting on shoes, or doubled up as a bench at the end of a bed. They have stainless steel handles to move them around and they can be stored flat when not in use. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)
