Why I tested…

How I tested…
After unpacking and before putting everything into our closets, I quite literally set myself up for success. I placed the shelf dividers where I wanted my sweaters and bags to go, and organized categories of clothes based on what hangers they would go on. I wanted to see the before-and-after effect of how much I could truly pack into certain closets to avoid getting a bulky dresser our bedroom doesn’t really have the room for.
Test Results…
Velvet pants hangers: These are very basic but they do the job they’re made for: layer pants to help you get more onto one hanger. They’re great for lighter pants so spring/summer styles and fabrics. They’re also great for leggings.
Belt hanger: This thing is great. I had my belts piled onto the metal head of one traditional hanger and it was a nightmare to get them off. This straight hanger has individual hooks so you can hang belts without creating extra bulk.
Kangaroo high-strength hanger: I was skeptical when my boyfriend bought these, but I ended up really liking them. They are sturdy, made from a recycled material, and because of the design, can hold an entire outfit. The middle bar has hooks for straps, while the bottom bar can hold folded pants. You can also use the middle bar to secure slippery fabrics like cashmere.
Clear shelf dividers: These dividers don’t get enough attention. They’re the unsung heroes of shelves within closets. I love that they’re clear and they keep my sweaters and soft bags from falling over. Want nice, neat piles? Get these.

Sidenotes…
Velvet pants hangers: I just want to make anyone aware who’s reading this that these aren’t great for trousers or wide-leg pants. The less fabric, the better.
Belt hanger: I don’t have many qualms about this hanger. My only note is that the hanger will tip to one side if the weight of the belts is uneven, so I’d advise evening out the belts as much as possible.
Clear shelf dividers: Measure your shelf width and make sure these can slip on.
