These don’t really look like slip-ons, but they basically are—or more accurately, step-ins. The back of every Kizik sneaker automatically crunches down and then pops back up when you step into them, so there’s no need to bend over while super pregnant to tie your shoelaces (or take a minute to get your shoes on when your baby is screaming to be held). Dansko’s “Professional” clog comes in 22 different variations—from a basic distressed honey shade to a lavender plaid print and a black version that’s shiny like an oil slick—but they all have excellent support. The brand in general is a favorite among nurses, chefs, and other people with physically demanding jobs. ($140, Dansko)

While the leather Dansko clogs might be supportive and work-appropriate, they’re not as breathable as these mesh and leather clogs from Merrell. The grippy rubber outsole on these will also help you keep your balance. ({{dynamicPrice}}, Amazon)

Because your regular flip-flops might be convenient, but they’re not doing you any favors in the support department. If the weather is still warm and you’ll be walking around town and running errands, these waterproof, ergonomic sandals have the extra dash of support you need. These cushioned eucalyptus fiber shoes come in 14 mainly neutral color combinations, and are great for weekend adventures or more casual workplaces. Your feet won’t overheat easily, and if they do get sweaty, you can just wash these shoes and let them air-dry. ($98, Allbirds)

These fuzzy slippers will help keep your feet happy even when you’re just lounging around at home, thanks to their contoured arch and shock-absorbing midsole. Like the sandals below (also from Vionic), these have the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance. ($80, Vionic)

These sandals are designed specifically to offer support…without looking like your great-grandma’s ergonomic shoes. You probably know this already, but you don’t have to be a runner or serious athlete to invest in some high-quality (and, yes, cute) sneakers. Hokas are everywhere, partly because of their distinctive look and eye-catching color options, but also because they’re supportive shoes that just make your feet feel good. These have the APMA Seal of Acceptance and are designed for running, but perfect for everyday walks, too. ($145, Hoka)

Another fan favorite, these On Cloud sneakers are great for traveling since they’re super light and have a fully collapsible upper. They’re essentially prelaced by design, so you can step right into them (without socks, if you prefer, since the footbed is antimicrobial), and the no-slip heel will keep you stable. ($150, On)
