• Unique packaging. You peel back the foil to reveal the foundation-soaked sponge. Then, dip the puff into the sponge to apply it to your face. This kept the formula super hydrated with a liquid-like consistency.

• Puff applicator. I love the oval shape of the puff. It fits on one finger, so you can get into all of the tiny crevices around your eyes and nose. Warning: It’s possible to transfer too much foundation, so start slow.

• Buildable coverage. I am a light-coverage gal, so I loved that the liquid consistency was thin enough to cover my redness, but easy to build on. It also layered beautifully under bronzer, blush, concealer and setting power (in that order).

• Staying power. Turns out, this foundation stayed on all night for my friend’s wedding. But I was wearing contacts for the big day. As someone who usually wears glasses, I did find that the foundation can wear off around the bottom of my glasses if it’s not set with a finishing powder.

• Large variety of shades. TIRTIR listened to customers and expanded to 40 shades, giving them the most inclusive shade range of any Korean foundation. Plus, there’s this adorable, travel-friendly mini version.

• Price Point. Whenever I go to Sephora for a new high-end foundation, I brace for the total. By comparison, $25 feels super reasonable. High-end brands, take note.
