We’ll admit it: One major perk of our job as editors is that we get to try out tons of products to let you know if they’re truly worth your hard-earned money. So in the spirit of tossing gatekeeping to the curb, we’re sharing a few standout faves from the past month that we usually reserve for the group chat. Without further ado…
A scarf that's quickly become a wardrobe staple...
I got this scarf over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday holiday and boy, do I wear it often. New York City decided to get frigid in the last week, so I've been wrapping this around my neck whenever I leave my apartment. It's warm, doesn't pill, and I love the waffle texture. I also love that it doesn't have tassels — for some reason tassels on a scarf annoy me aesthetically. It feels like a staple wardrobe option, especially in black. I ended up getting one for my boyfriend, too. –Alexandra Napoli ($40+, Everlane)
The best ice roller on the market...
I know it's pricey, but hear me out. This ice roller blows all others out of the water. It's large and in charge and has become my favorite part of my morning skincare routine. What makes this one better than others is how long the aluminum roller stays icy cold. Whether I've had a late night or just feeling overly puffy, rolling this all over my face after cleansing and moisturizing simultaneously wakes me up, brings my redness down, and fulfills my main character moment. Feeling spendy? Grab the adorable "sleeping bag" to store it in. –Martha Upton ($69, Revolve)
A nice journal with an even nicer price tag...
I've been writing in this pretty little journal for a few months now. Anthropologie always has the best stationery selection — the pricing, quality, and designs are always too good. This leather-esque journal is just $20, but the paper is nice and thick. I love that it has a ribbon bookmark and that it's the perfect size to fit in my bag. If you're looking for an easy birthday gift, grab this. I bought a couple for my girlfriends this year and they were elated. It's a unique gift most people wouldn't buy for themselves. Jot notes, make lists, write full entries — 2024 is the year of journaling. –Margo Ghertner ($20, Anthropologie)
The T-shirt we can't stop wearing...
I picked up this T-shirt during Madewell's Black Friday sale, and I am not exaggerating when I say it's changed my life. The silhouette is perfect: It's certainly oversized (it hits well below the bum for me, and the sleeves reach my elbows), but it's not boxy, so it doesn't read like pajamas. The material is luxuriously thick but silky and buttery, so you can play around with tucking it into your jeans. Definition of effortlessly cool. I've been wearing mine with leggings and bike shorts at home, but I'm inspired by how it's shown on the models to skew more elevated, with straight-leg jeans, booties, and blazers. I have it in slate gray and, once I wore it for the first time and never wanted to take it off, immediately ordered it in baby blue. –Caroline Goldstein ($37.99, Madewell)
The eyebrow gel that helps us go longer between getting them done...
This is my favorite eyebrow gel ever. I’ve tried so many, but think I’ve finally settled on the one. It holds my brows in place but doesn't leave a bunch of white clumps like a lot of other gels. It has a nice flat side so you can push the brows flat down to your face to give that super-fluffy laminated look. I especially like using it after I have my brows dyed and laminated, because it's the only product I need to keep them looking great for at least two months. –Celia Skvaril ($15, Sephora)
