Products you buy through our links may earn us a commission. Oh, and if something's out of stock, oops, it was there (and all prices were accurate) at time of publication.

We’ll admit it: One major perk of our job as editors is that we get to try out tons of products to let you know if they’re truly worth your hard-earned money. We’re also just avid shoppers, so in the spirit of tossing gatekeeping to the curb, we’re sharing a few standout favorites from the past month that we usually reserve for the group chat. Welcome to the inside scoop.

W&P

A reusable mug that makes us feel better about our to-go coffee...

Buying coffee in the morning from my local coffee shop is a small joy I'm unable to let go of, so to ease my conscience about repeating this act most days of the week, I decided to buy a reusable travel mug. The very least I can do is decrease my waste while supporting a small business. This ceramic option from W&P is my favorite. It has a silicone sleeve and BPA-free lid, plus I can pop it in the microwave and dishwasher. I got the 16-ounce option in the Terrazzo Charcoal color, which is actually a bit textured and helps with grip. It's become my Emotional Support Mug, and I take it everywhere. If you're guilty of using throw-away cups, convert to a reusable one. It's a small eco-friendly win. –Alexandra Napoli ($30, W&P)

clips
Anthropologie

Creaseless hair clips we wear out and about...

I'm a staunch hair-before-makeup girl, but once my hair is curled, sprayed, and in place, I cannot stand the thought of it even grazing my cheekbone. Plus, sometimes I'll do my hair early for a date, take a break to eat dinner (PSA: always eat something before a date), then go back to do my makeup after. These clips are a lifesaver. They not only stay secure and keep my hair out of my face, but also by pure magic do not crease my curls at all. They're also just plain cute and make getting ready fun. I even wear them on video calls or while running errands. Trust me, they're worth it. –Martha Upton ($26, Anthropologie)

The new lip balm that rescued our lips...

One of my most heartbreaking discoveries of 2023: I’m allergic to Aquaphor. Ever since, I’ve been searching for a lip balm that’ll actually keep my sensitive lips hydrated. I’ve been a longtime fan of Tower28’s SOS line for my eczema-prone skin, so when I saw they came out with a new lip balm, I knew I had to try it. Somehow, they’ve managed to create one that’s lightweight, isn’t sticky, and is deeply hydrating. Their SOS Lip Softie has a light vanilla scent and is packed with jojoba oil and lysine to keep my lips crack-free. I wear this one as a clear gloss or as an overnight treatment…it actually works both ways. PS: They also come in tinted shades. –Margo Ghertner ($16, Tower28)

Aura Bora

The silly little drink we didn't know we needed...

I'm not much of a "special drinks" person, but my daily can of Aura Bora has become a cute little bright spot during the afternoon slump. The bubbles are crisp but not painfully so (you know what I'm talking about), and it stays nice and fizzy after you open the can. And the flavors? Unexpected, elevated, and truly delicious. They're all flavored with real plant and fruit extracts, too. I love serving these to friends — without fail, everyone is delighted by the unique flavors and colorful art on the cans. My current favorites are Banana Bergamot and Honey Pumpkin. –Caroline Goldstein ($33/12 cans, Aura Bora)

moisturizer
Versed

An affordable moisturizer we use as a protective second layer...

I’ve been loving this overnight barrier balm, which I've been using over my regular nighttime moisturizer on areas that need extra love (like my under eyes, forehead, and cheeks after retinol). My skin is super sensitive as well as combo/oily, so I'm always worried about irritation and clogging when I try something new. I found this to be the perfect second layer. It keeps my skin from drying out overnight, without making me feel greasy when I wake up. While we’re talking about Versed products, I’ve also been using the retinol body lotion, which I bought to deal with some shoulder backne brought on from my recent gym activities. It helps calm the issue without being too drying, and has also been a lifesaver for my hands and feet at night. –Abby Drozd ($17.99, Versed)
