Smartest purchase you’ve made recently?

My Dyson cordless vacuum is a total game changer. It’s easy to store and delightful to use. Plus, you can get the toy version for helpful toddlers.

Are there any interior design tips or unconventional hacks that you have when it comes to utilizing a space?

When it comes to utilizing a space, don’t forget about vertical space. It draws your eye up, making the room seem larger and also provides room for extra storage.

Name three essentials everyone should have in their home.

A good scent that represents you and makes you feel at home, indoor plants, and a really good spa-quality set of bath towels.

If our readers are just starting to invest in furniture for the first time, what pieces do you recommend to start?

Article’s Sven sofa is a stylish, quality sofa perfect for your first furniture ‘upgrade.’  Aesthetically, leather looks sophisticated and ages well over time. I also recommend investing in a timeless wood bed and a statement chair in a bold color.

If there’s one thing our readers should be buying to revamp their space on a budget, what should it be?

A pendant lamp can make a dramatic difference in a room in terms of expressing your personal style and setting the mood. Large pendants can run for about $200, so it’s an attainable way to revamp a space.

What’s your latest favorite launch from Article?

I’m really proud of our team’s work to release Article’s Leigh Collection — our comfiest seating collection yet.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

“Do your best and forget about the rest” has been my motto since I heard it for the first time. It helps keep me positive and grounded.

What trends can we expect to see in interior design over the coming months?

Sculptural elements beyond the living room and into pieces like headboards, accent pieces, and planters. Curves, organic shapes, and natural materials paired with a calming and soothing color palette (including lots of browns and greens) to create a cozy and inviting home.
